Green Party, six MPs
Members of New Zealand's
48th Parliament, elected September 2005
Rod Donald and Jeanette FitzSimmons
were co-leaders of the Green Party at election time. Deborah Moran was
chief of staff in the co-leaders' office at Parliament. Rod Donald died
on 6 November. Nandor Tanczos confirmed on 11 November he would take up
his option to succeed Rod in Parliament, as a Green MP. The Green Party
constitution requires that the party elects a male and a female co-leader.
Metiria Turei became the Green's "musterer", the word her predecessor
Rod Donald used to describe the role traditionally known as "whip".
